On the playground, there are two wooden posts that need to be covered so as to prevent a potential hazard for the children.

Emergency medications readily available
A review of the Children's Record Checklist during the visit indicated the following: -There was no IHCP or Medication Consent Form for a child with a diagnosed allergy and prescription medication. During the visit, the Director stated that the parent shared with the program that the child had a "mild allergy" and "wouldn't ever need it."
A child with a diagnosed allergy requiring potentially life-saving medication in the event of a medical emergency did not have an IHCP documented in their school record.
Upon a review of four Children's Records, one record did not have an Individual Health Care Plan for a child diagnosed with an allergy and prescribed an (REDACTED). During the visit, the Director stated she is aware and knowledgeable of the child's plan and medication.
A walk through of the facilities indicated the following: -There was not an emergency evacuation route or written procedure posted next to the door leading outside with a ramp that is adjacent to the upstairs class bathroom or next to the downstairs door leading to the gravel yard outside.

Upon a review of four Children's Records, one record did not include a current physical examination for a child. During the visit, the Director stated that they were aware of this and have sent multiple reminders to the child's family.

The program maintained a daily attendance but did not indicate each child's arrival and departure times.
The Building Inspection Certificate expired on 1/31/2022. The Fire Inspection was conducted on 1/31/2021. During the visit, the Director stated she is working with a new building manager and this is in process.
Although the Director and Educators were knowledgeable about Individual Health Care Plans (IHCP) at the program, one out of three children's IHCP's reviewed was not signed by the parent.
