Classroom materials
At the time of the visit, a toy was observed hanging above the changing table. During diaper changes, each infant touched the toy while lying on the table. This practice does not align with recommended sanitation and infection control procedures.
The classroom chairs were stacked high and could tip over. Not all tippable classroom equipment was safely secured.

Classroom Chairs
During the visit, classroom equipment and materials were observed. There was insufficient quantity and variety of materials throughout the program. In the preschool room, there was not much variety in the blocks or other materials on the shelves. Classroom materials and equipment should be replaced and updated.
At the time of the visit, crib sheets were loose and not properly fitted.
An educator in the infant classroom did not follow hand washing procedures because she did not wash two infants' hands after changing their diapers.
During the visit, chipped and peeling paint was observed throughout the program. In the preschool classroom, a boarder was not properly secured, and broken plaster appeared as small holes along the bottom of the wall.

A paper cutter was placed on the counter in the preschool room, making it accessible to the children.

During the visit, a box of cereal was open and not stored in an airtight container.
The half wall in the bathroom wasn't safely secured.
During the visit, there wasn't any evidence of regular, ongoing observations of all educators working with children at least every two months.

During a review of staff records, there wasn't evidence of staff observations being conducted at least every two months as required by EEC.
Not all tippable equipment was secured. The cabinets in the infant room did not have safety latches.

When observing in classrooms the following was noted: 1. Some wooden shelving units were not secured and potentially tippable in the Pre-K, Toddler and Infant classrooms; a dramatic play set was not secured in Pre-K. 2.Chipping/peeling paint was found next to the diaper changing area in the infant classroom.
