The lower level classroom did not have a classroom attendance showing who was present in the group. The program must have a method of knowing exactly who is present on the premises at any given point in the day. Staff must know who is in their group in case of an emergency evacuation.
During the visit, three staff files were reviewed. One file did not include a Verification of School Age Work Experience Form. Two files did not include evidence of Program Orientation. Observations of staff working with children were not conducted. Documented observation of educators while working with children must be conducted at least every two months by a staff with lead teacher, site coordinator or higher qualifications.
Emergency medications readily available
During the visit, tables used for homework were not washed and sanitized before being used by the children to eat their snacks. The children did not wash their hands before handling or eating snack.

One child's Individual Health Care Plan included the administration of (REDACTED). This medication was not on the premises. Therefore it was not immediately available if needed.
Several of the children's coats and backpacks were observed on the floor. Two backpacks were stepped on by the children. The licensee must provide sufficient space, accessible to children, for each child to store clothing and other personal items in a safe and sanitary manner.
In the main floor classroom, there were 21 children observed in the group however, 26 children were signed in. Staff did not have an attendance with them in the basement classroom showing which children were present in the group.

The garbage barrel located in the Lounge Room was not covered. Garbage must be kept in lined and covered containers and all trash containers must be emptied at least daily.
During the visit, children's backpacks and coats were observed on the floor in the upper and lower classrooms. The licensee must provide sufficient space, accessible to children, for each child to store clothing and other personal items in a safe, sanitary manner.
One child's Individual Health Care Plan included the use of an(REDACTED). This medication was not on the premises and therefore it was not immediately available if needed. The director will follow up with the parent.
