First Aid Kit (FCC)
Children’s records were reviewed, and one was missing the annual enrollment form.
Licensor observed that both exit signs were missing from the doors and reminded the educator that clearly marked exits are required for safety.
The educator is missing the following items in the First Aid kit: CPR mouth guard and thermometers.

Progress reports were not completed. The licensor discussed the regulations and emailed the educator a copy of the policy.
The last evacuation drill was completed in April 2025, which means four months have passed.
The carbon monoxide detector was not working and requires new batteries.

Water used for washing hands tested more than 120F degrees.
Licensor observed an uncovered outdoor fireplace with many logs and sticks, as well as an uncovered lawn mower and snow blower. The educator was advised to barricade the area to ensure children's safety.
Since obtaining their license, the educator has completed 15 hours of professional development, including EEC Essentials 2.0 and training from the Child Development agency. Training requirements were reviewed. It was recommended that the educator contact the Central MA Professional Development Center, as educator is currently not receiving guidance from a Family Child Care System.
Kitchen hazards include damaged safety locks; in need of repair. Access to sharp objects and cleaning products.

One child started in September, and the other in April; neither have records or physical examination. Informed to not rely solely on the childcare agency and to take responsibility for missing documents by either contacting the me or obtaining the paperwork from the EEC Website.

We discussed to acquire more toys, books, educational materials, art and music supply to offer children a variety of equipment and materials.
We discussed to secure or repair the following hazards in the playroom: TV wire, toy shelf and repair the cracked floor board.
In the playroom there is some peeling paint on the wooden trim of the storage area in need of repair. Please complete the Peeling Paint compliance statement form when repairs are done.
We discussed to install a 4 foot barrier along the drop off wall by the back exit areas underneath the deck to prevent children from climbing and falling.
Also discussed that the space in between the railings cannot be wider than 3 1/2 inches for the side exit, and between the pole for the fence and gate in the yard. Also discussed to repair the broken basement widow by the side exit area, and screen for window in the playroom.
