Infection Control/Hand Washing - R Apr 2025
1. During the licensors review of the attendance, it was noted that there have been days that the infant classroom has more children then allowed for in the classroom prior to the full staff coming in and opening new classrooms. 2. A child in the pre-school classroom moved between the pre-school classroom and pre-k classroom and they were not signed in or out of the appropriate classrooms.
The fire drill log did not document alternate routes being used.
A teacher did not wash a child's hands after changing their diaper.
One child's individual health care plan was not current.
A child's life saving medication was not in the classroom and therefore would not be immediately available.
A teacher on the playground left their ice coffee on the ground where it was accessible to children. The Assistant Director instructed them to remove it after seeing it.
1. The Infant 1 Classroom was over ratio/capacity with two staff and eight infants. 2. The attendance was not accurate in the Toddler 1 Classroom.
The cabinet under the sink in the Toddler 2 Classroom was not locked. There were staff purses inside.
In the Toddler 1 Classroom, a teacher did not wash the child's hands after a diaper change. In addition, they did not wash their hands after removing their gloves. The teacher cleaned the changing table with the gloves that they had on for the diaper change.
