Two toy shelves in the playroom were not secured posing a tipping hazard.
The educator does not have the required 30 hours of ongoing professional development. The educator has 10 hours completed.
Progress Reports
In the playroom, two toy bins were not secured posing a tipping hazard. In the kitchen, a drawer had a safety lock but was not functioning allowing access to sharp utensils. In the bathroom, the trash can did not have a lid and a Glade disinfectant spray was accessible.
All of the children’s progress reports were reviewed, one child required an updated progress report.

All of the children’s records were reviewed, one child requires an updated physical and one child did not have proof of lead testing.
Two of the children's emergency cards were missing and one of the emergency cards were expired.

Progress Reports
Ongoing Professional Development
Progress reports were reviewed for the enrolled. One child needed proof of a current progress report. Upon reviewing the progress reports for all children, it was also noted that the Educator is not completing the progress reports within the required times frames based on ages of the children.
Children’s Records
The Educator does not have proof all required professional development training hours, with the exception of 6 hours from the Food Program for 2023. The Educator stated she did not take any trainings in 2022.
Hand washing
The Educator does not have current CPR and First Aid. She took and online training in December 2020, which was acceptable for that time due to the pandemic. The Educator had a certificate for another online class taken on June 23, 2023. The Educator was advised in July 2022, that she needed to take her next CPR and First Aid training in person. The Educator was informed during this visit that CPR and First Aid is not valid and that she needs to complete an in-person skills training right away and send proof of the certification.
The Educator washed her hands after changing a child’s diaper, but did not wash the child’s hands.
Records were reviewed for the children present on the day of the visit. One child did not have proof of current medical documentation.
This monitoring visit inspection recorded no violations or advisories.
The Educator has 29 professional development hours. Discussed that the Educator must have 30 hours of professional development training. She does have 10 hours of diverse learners training. Please submit proof of at least 1 more training hour.
