The CPR expired on 10/30/19. The CPR certification must be updated annually. The educator must complete the CPR course as soon as possible and a copy of the current certificate must be submitted within two weeks. The FA certification is current. It expires 10/20.

The attendance was not documented for a child in care. An attendance log must be kept for all of the children in care.

The PQ registry is not up to date.
Three of the children's records were reviewed at this visit. Two of the files were missing the medical forms and annual update. The general permission of the enrollment packet must indicate children are not transported out of the premises.
The emergency plan was missing some of the required information. The information must be updated.
The first aid kit was missing an adhesive tape, gloves and ice pack. The first aid kit must have all of the required materials.
Two of the wood stoves were in use at the time of the visit and they were not properly barricaded. All wood stoves used during daycare hours must be properly barricaded. The corrections must take place immediately due to the fact that this is a significant safety hazard.
The following hazards were observed at this visit: 1.) A candle was lit that could create a fire hazard. 2.) A lighter was placed in an area accessible to the day care children. 3.) A hammer was located on the livingroom table accessible to the day care children. 4.) Cleaning materials were located on the kitchen floor accessible to the day care children. Educators must ensure that all hazardous objects, including but not limited to matches, lighters, toxic materials, sharp objects, plastic bags and purses are locked or inaccessible to children.
The back exit did not have a clear path. All paths used as escape routes must be accessible and clear of obstructions.
The educator was not following safe sleep practices. The educator stated that she sleeps the infant in her arms. All infants must nap in an individual crib, portacrib, playpen or bassinet; The educator must do the following: 1.) Follow proper safe sleep practices with infants immediately. 2) Sign Pledge Letter 3.) Provide safe sleep letter to all of the parents with infants to sign and 3.) Attend a face to face safe sleep training provided by EEC. This is the second citation on safe sleep.
