Pathways developmental checklists based on age are overdue for some children whose reports were last completed in January and February of 2024. Written progress reports must be completed every three months for infants and children with special needs, every six months for toddlers and preschoolers, and once a year for school aged children (5 years and over).

This investigation inspection recorded no violations or advisories.
A space heater in the living room was observed to be plugged in. A lit candle observed in the kitchen. The educator blew out the candle during the visit.

Exit signs were not posted as required.
Fire drill log for 2022 was reviewed and is complete. Educator has not conducted a drill yet for 2023. Evacuation drills must be conducted with the children and logged every month.
Firearms and Ammunition
Evacuation Logs
Guns and ammunition are locked in separate safes in unlicensed space. The educator has not informed the parents in writing of the presence of firearms in the home. Educator must email the licensor a Firearms statement that can be added to the parent handbook.
Exit signs are not posted above the side door in the kitchen or the slider to the deck and the outdoor play area.

The educator has two first aid kits. One is located on the wall in the playroom and one for outside. Educator has purchased a touchless thermometer. Emergency contact pages for the children are current and located in the mobile kit. First aid kit is missing a CPR mouth guard.
Observed a large gap in the sidewalk leading up to the walkway to the side entrance. Children use this entrance at drop off and pick up times. The gap is a tripping hazard. The educator must email the licensor photos of the corrective action taken.
