An inspection of the Public School playground revealed the following issues: 1) The impact absorbing material in some of the fall zones was compressed and did not appear to be on sufficient depth. In some fall zones the impact absorbing material was about 6 inches below the indicated safe line. 2) During inspection of the playground licensor observed children using a swing set that had been previously cited for not having the appropriate fall zones. 3) Further inspection of the playground reveled that there were small rose bushes with thorns growing in the playground. 4) There was a cement footing in the playground that was exposed and protruding up from the ground, that could pose a tripping hazard for children.
