A complaint allegation was received from the food program alleging that 10 children were observed in the LFCCH alone with an employee. The operator was not in the home at the time the inspector arrived. A complaint inspection was conducted on 4/24/2023 and the findings are as follows; - When CCLE staff arrived, the operator, AP, was already in the home at 3:30PM. The food program inspector stated that he arrived at 2:45PM and Ms. AP was already out of the home at that time. A statement from the operator was received, AP. Per operator, AP, she had to drive to plantation to sign some documents so that a relative may travel out of the country. She did not contact the substitute to watch the children in her absence since she thought it would be a quick run and she would be back in no time. Per attendance records and the food program's notes, operator left 12 children with the employee to supervise alone. This complaint is substantiated as the LFCCH exceeded capacity in the absence of the operator. Home must have operated as a regular home with only 6 pre-school age children during the operator's absence or the substitute must have replaced the operator to continue operating with 12 children in the home. A notice of violation will be issued
