23-06 · Fire Drills
During the inspection, on 6/6/2025, the Licensing Specialist monitored the Fire Drill Log and observed documentation of the last fire drill having been conducted on 4/16/2025. The last approved fire inspection for this facility was dated 01/22/25. The fire extinguisher certifications are valid until 06/2025. During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that the facility had not conducted monthly. Operator advised the last date of attendance was 5/23/2025. During the inspection, pictures were taken, and Operator provided attendance records for the month of May. The Licensing Specialist returned the facility on 6/16/2025 and observed that the facility conducted a fire drill on 6/12/2025. During the inspection, on 6/6/2025, the Fire Drill was not conducted with the Licensing Specialist due to the facility being closed for the summer. The provider brought this standard back into compliance in that the provider conducted a fire drill with the Licensing Specialist on 6/16/2025. During the time of the inspection, the Operator advised the Licensing Specialist that there are currently 32 children enrolled. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored 32 of the 32 childrens records. The Licensing Specialist observed one children's file which had an expired immunization form. Pictures were taken during the inspection. This standard has been brought into compliance at the time of the inspection in the provider received an updated immunization record on June 10, 2025. During the inspection, the Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 7.1 F Immunization Records The child care facility is responsible for obtaining for each child in care a current, complete and properly executed Florida Certification of Immunization form Part A-1, B, or C, DH 680, which is incorporated by reference in 65C-22.001(7)(o), F.A.C., or the Religious Exemption from Immunization form, DH 681, which is incorporated by reference in 65C22.001(7)(p), F.A.C., from the custodial parent or legal guardian. DH Form 680 and DH Form 681 may be obtained from the local county health department. Specific immunization requirements are included and detailed in the most current edition of the Immunization Guidelines-Florida Schools, Child Care Facilities and Family Day Care Homes as promulgated by the Florida Department of Health. At the time of inspection licensing specialist observed the wooden swing set as not being stable. The entire frame can be moved when pushed on the frame with little effort. Be sure to stabilize the wooden swing set by due date. TA All playground equipment must be securely anchored, unless portable or stationary by design, in good repair, maintained in safe and sanitary condition, and placed to ensure safe use by the children. Maintenance must include inspections conducted every month of all supports above and below the ground and of all connectors and moving parts. Documentation of maintenance inspections must be maintained for 12 months

• During the inspection, the director advised that there are currently 11 employees. During the inspection, CCR observed 11 of 11 employee records. When the CCR was reviewing the files the CCR seen 1 personnel did not finish her 5 hours Early Literacy training. The director was given until July 15, 2023, to come into compliance with this standard. • During the inspection, CCR provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 4.2.2 Early Literacy Training Pursuant to Section 402.305(2)(e)5., F.S., all childcare personnel must complete a single course of training in early literacy and language development of children ages birth through five years that is a minimum of five clock hours or .5 CEUs. Early literacy training must be completed within 12 months of date of employment in the childcare industry.
