Licensing Specialist asked where the second teacher went and staff advised that they left. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist asked the owner if they could be in the classroom to maintain ratio. During the inspection, the owner went into the classroom. This is being marked corrected at the time of the inspection. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, STAFF-TO-CHILDREN RATIO. (a) Minimum standards for the care of children in a licensed child care facility as established by rule of the department must include: 1. For children from birth through 1 year of age, there must be one child care personnel for every four children. 2. For children 1 year of age or older, but under 2 years of age, there must be one child care personnel for every six children. 3. For children 2 years of age or older, but under 3 years of age, there must be one child care personnel for every 11 children. 4. For children 3 years of age or older, but under 4 years of age, there must be one child care personnel for every 15 children. 5. For children 4 years of age or older, but under 5 years of age, there must be one child care personnel for every 20 children. 6. For children 5 years of age or older, there must be one child care personnel for every 25 children. 7. When children 2 years of age and older are in care, the staff-to-children ratio shall be based on the age group with the largest number of children within the group

During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that there were napping cots that were not being used were being stored in a bathroom. During the inspection, the napping cots were removed from the bathroom. This is being marked corrected at the time of the inspection. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, Bedding and linens, when not in use, must be stored in a sanitary manner which prevents the spread of germs or lice from other linens. All bedding and linens must be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized at least once a week, and before use by another child

23-07 · Fire Drills
The fire extinguisher certification(s) are valid until 7/2025. The fire inspection was conducted on 9/12/2024. 23-7: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that a fire drill was not conducted in March 2025, February 2025 or January 2025. During the inspection, a fire drill was conducted with Licensing Specialist to make up for March 2025. This is being marked corrected at the time of the inspection. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 3.8.4, C A current attendance record and parent contact information must accompany child care personnel out of the building during a drill or actual evacuation and be used to account for all children. The operator must maintain a written record of the fire drills showing the date, number of children and child care personnel in attendance, evacuation route used, and time taken for all individuals to evacuate the premises. Each fire drill record must be maintained for a minimum of 12 months from the date of the fire drill. The fire drills conducted must include, at a minimum: 1. One fire drill using an alternate evacuation route, 2. One fire drill during napping/sleeping times, and 3. One fire drill in the presence and at the request of the licensing authority. 32-5: During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that the physical environment log was not conducted monthly, in that the last entry was on 1/20/2025. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook 3.12 B All playground equipment must be securely anchored, unless portable or stationary by design, in good repair, maintained in safe and sanitary condition, and placed to ensure safe use by the children. 35-12 · Communicable Disease Control
35.12-During the inspection, Licensing Specialist observed that 2 child care personnel did not have documentation that the exposure plan was reviewed before the employee started to work at the facility. During the inspection, Licensing Specialist provided technical assistance, CCF Handbook, Section 6 There are three common modes of transmission for the spread of microorganisms in child care settings: contact, droplet, and airborne. Many common infections encountered in the child care setting are transmitted by direct or indirect contact. Child care facilities shall develop a written exposure plan regarding universal safety precautions, recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to follow in the event there is exposure to blood and potentially infectious fluids. Personnel are required to be educated on the facilitys exposure plan regarding standard precautions before beginning to work and annually thereafter.
