Ensure temperature in the home is below 83 degrees. Temperature read was 83 degrees. Send pictures to OCCL when A.C. unit is installed. 28D. Fans cannot be accessible to children. This was removed and corrected at the visit.
Ensure children are sleeping on non-absorbent mats on the floor. Mattresses were piled up too high and not safe for children to sleep on.

Heating & Cooling- Indoor temperature needs to be between 68 degrees and 82 degrees. The temperature in the home was 85 degrees. Ensure indoor temperatures to not reach this level, and send pictures of how you will correct this to OCCL.
Ensure the home is free from safety hazards. Home and furnishings need to be in a clean and safe condition. Walls, floors, ceilings, and safety gates need to be cleared from clutter. Safety gates need to be installed according to Delacare Regulations. Send pictures of these corrections to OCCL.
First Aid Kit- Ensure eye patch, and tweezers and pen and paper are placed in the First Aid Kit. Send pictures of these items to OCCL
Monthly evacuation routes need to be documented and posted at all times. Send pictures to OCCL.
Ensure children are in a proper booster, car seat, according to Delaware State Law, and Federal Law.

Activities and interactions- Ensure the daily schedule is posted, and you have activities for school age children in care. Send pictures to document age appropriate activities to OCCL.
Ensure there is adequate space for free movement/play. Follow Delacare Regulations for free movement/play.
Space is not adequate for Level II Family Child Care. Follow all Delacare Regulations for space and ensure enough space is available for the number of children your license holds. Send pictures to OCCL.

Sleeping accommodations need to be in a clean, clutter free area. A documented naptime needs to be part of our daily activities and schedule. Ensure there is clean, safe, age appropriate equipment for each child. Provide OCCL with pictures.

Ensure children's attendance is maintained and properly recorded daily for all children in care. Send attendance for past 60 days for all children in care with exact times children arrive, and leave care.
Ensure substitutes phone number and information is posted and given to OCCL.
Sanitation- Soap and water and disinfectant needs to be used on items/equipment as required. Weekly washing and disinfecting of toys and play equipment needs to be conducted. Please send pictures to OCCL.
Kitchen needs to be cleaned properly and cleared from clutter. All food needs to be properly stored, and labeled. Cups need to be labeled properly. Clean refrigerator to remove food that was not labeled and is expired and spoiled. Send pictures to OCCL when clean.
Ensure there aren't any plastic bags accessible to children. Ensure styrofoam cups are not accessible to children. Ensure sufficient High Chairs are free from clutter, and areas where children eat are clean. Send Pictures to document the cleaning of these areas.
Ensure all child files are complete. Child #1 needs a current Health Appraisal. Child #2 needs screen time, permission to sleep on a mat, and permission to sleep in another area. Child #2 was sleeping on top of a bed with hazards at the bottom. This was also a fall precaution. Child #3 needs a Health Appraisal. Child #4 needs Lead Lab Screening. A Health Appraisal is needed for Child #1 and Child #3.
Supervision of children must be at all times. This was non-compliant when a child in care ate another child's food. LS Brady told provider that the child had the chicken bone, and the provider took it away from the child. This was corrected at the visit.
Fire Safety- Ensure monthly fire drills are conducted each month, and kept for OCCL to review. Fire drills need to be posted.
