On May 14, 2025, and May 15, 2025, the Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received two complaints regarding not meeting the needs of the children, not providing truthful information, not providing an infant daily log, confidentiality, not allowing breastfeeding, and not completing incident reports. An investigation was conducted on May 21, 2025. There is no evidence to substantiate this complaint because staff members interviewed stated they conduct diaper checks hourly, change a child if they are wet or dirty, and their daily logs match when they change diapers. Administrator #1 stated breastfeeding or pumping is welcome at the center, but a parent, who is also a staff member, needs to provide a breastfeeding schedule to ensure the classroom complies with the staff-to-child ratio. Additionally, Administrator #1 stated she or her staff did not breach confidentiality, but if a parent has a concern, she will address the concern with all her staff. Administrator #1 and staff members denied the allegation of not providing truthful information to parents and stated children enrolled in the center receive a daily update via the Tadpole app. While there is no evidence to substantiate not completing incident reports, a concern noted was the incident report from the Tadpole app does not reflect when the parent was informed of a serious injury, when a call was made to the parent, and did not have parent signatures.

Disposition: No Evidence to Substantiate with Concern

The Office of Child Care Licensing received a complaint on September 26, 2023, regarding rodent infestation. An investigation was conducted on October 4, 2023. This complaint is substantiated because Ms. Walter stated the center has an issue with mice but has been working with Sussex Tech's custodial staff and a pest control company to address the issue.
