On April 11, 2025, the Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint regarding lack of supervision, hazardous materials in the children s reach, and vaping. This complaint is substantiated for vaping and hazardous materials in children s reach because Staff #1 admitted to center administration the pen fell from their pocket and was picked up by Child #1. There is no evidence to support lack of supervision.

OCCL received a complaint on February 22, 2024, regarding the center having an unsafe environment. An investigation was conducted on March 7, 2024. There is no evidence to substantiate the complaint because maintenance informed the administrator the gas detectors were beeping due to low battery, and the beeping stopped when the batteries were replaced. Also, a third-party contractor evaluated the building and stated the premises were safe for occupancy.

On January 18, 2024, the Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint regarding a gas smell in the center causing an unsafe environment. An investigation was conducted on January 18, 2024. There is no evidence to substantiate this complaint because building maintenance stated the building is safe. Also, a letter from Delaware Health and Social Services dated January 10, 2024, states the building is cleared for occupancy

OCCL received a complaint on May 24, 2022, regarding the center having many health outbreaks, not informing parents of the outbreak, and not cleaning the classroom after it was exterminated. An investigation was conducted on May 25, 2022. There is no evidence to substantiate the complaint because Ms. Cross stated the parents and guardians were notified of the outbreaks, documentation of notification was provided, proper procedures were followed, and Ms. Cross stated she cleaned the classroom after the exterminator was done
