Director took immediate action by placing S1 on administrative leave to conduct an internal investigation, contacting families, authorities, and licensing. S1 was terminated 03/10/2023. All staff received additional training including mandated reporter. LPA interviews with Director and four staff members corroborated S1 being verbally and physically aggressive toward the children in care. 101229 Responsibility for Providing Care and Supervision (a) The licensee shall provide care and supervision as necessary to meet the children's needs. (1) No child(ren) shall be left without the supervision of a teacher at any time.... Supervision shall include visual observation. Director agreed to conduct a training for the staff in relation to Responsibility for Providing Care and Supervision and will watch the Department Training video related to Providing Care and Supervision on the Department website at www.ccld.ca.gov. A sign in sheet will be provided to the Department related to the training discussion and the attendees by the due date 4/19/23. Based on LPA staff interviews and statements, it was revealed that child (C1) was left on the play yard on 4/10/2023 without any staff supervision. Child (C1) was left unattended on the play yard while staff were inside the facility.
