6.2.6.4 · When children are outside playing, staff shall be outside visually supervising the children.

The program made a self-report to the Division that the preschool group was playing outside of their fenced playground area while children were being picked up, and that a child ran to the front of the building without the knowledge of staff responsible for that child. A parent found the child at the front door alone. This child was out of sight of Staff A who oversaw the group of children for approximately one (1) minute when they noticed the child was missing. Staff B, who was no longer on the clock, and in their car, observed the child running around the building but did not need to intervene as the parent came out of the building a few seconds later.
