A review of provider's BFIS Quality and Credential account and the provider's statement that their CPR and First Aid expired on 11/2/2024 and they had not renewed their CPR and First Aid certification prior to this licensing visit. This rule was cited previously on 3/2/2022.

During a review of the provider's BFIS quality and credential account, and confirmation of the date trainings were completed, it was determined the provider did not complete seven (7) hours of the required fifteen (15) hours of professional development between 2/14/2023 to 2/14/2024. The Provider's BFIS Quality and Credential account was reviewed prior to this licensing visit. The provider's Mandated Reporter certificate and current first aid and CPR certificate was not listed or sent to Northern Lights to be uploaded into the provider's BFIS Quality and Credential account.

The FCCP shall ensure that each child, except school age children, has an individual crib, port-a-crib, cot, mat, or bed that is safe for the child's age and development, in good repair, and used by only one child each day. No child shall nap directly on the floor or on furniture not designed for sleeping. Cribs or port-a-cribs shall be used for children under the age of twelve (12) months. Children shall not nap in cribs or port-a-cribs if they are physically able to climb out unassisted.

A one (1) year-old child was sleeping in an infant bouncy seat during this licensing visit. The child did not have a nap mat set-up for them to sleep on. The provider shared that the one (1) year-old child likes to sleep in the chair. The provider also shared the six (6) month-old infant sleeps in the swing and not in a port-a-crib. There was not a port-a-crib setup for the infant.

The FCCP shall ensure that evacuation drills are conducted at least once a month, and children and staff are evacuated in less than three (3) minutes.

The provider stated she has not practiced a fire drill in a while and the fire drill document reviewed was from 2020 and 2021. Rule 3.3.6.1 regarding documentation of fire drills was cited previously on 3/2/2022 and the provider still has not practiced a fire drill with children.
