Interactions with children

The provider was out of compliance with R381-100-12(5)(a) by failing to ensure that interactions with a child do not include any action that produces physical pain or discomfort, including hitting, spanking, shaking, biting, or pinching. During an investigation it was determined that a caregiver spanked a child after the child had escaped their classroom and ran out into the parking lot and toward a side street. This is a repeat citation as noted on 05/04/2023.
