LC observed seven out of eight infants in cribs in attempt to have set on a schedule. Several infants were crying for an extended period of time. Three infants had bottles in the crib with them feeding themselves. One infant had a pacifier with an attatched stuffed animal in the crib.
LC observed the infant room was very dark, and children could not be seen easily in cribs.
LC observed infant educators not being responsive to infant sounds and responding to needs. Infants were expected to be on the same sleeping and feeding schedule, and educators were not attuned to childrens needs. LC observed infants were not allowed to form their own patterns of sleep. Infants were left in cribs when distressed.
