Outdoor play space used by the facility is considered part of the facility premises. The legal entity must arrange for all facility staff to receive a minimum of two hours of PQAS training regarding supervision of children. The legal entity must receive DHS approval of the training content prior to scheduling the training.
On 6/24/24 upon entering the building from the outdoor play area staff #1 & 2 miscounted the children and child #1 & 2 were left outside in the play space. Child #1 & 2 were left outside for 5 minutes then they went over the fence. Child #1 & 2 were found approximately an hour later by the Macungie Police and returned to the center.

During the renewal inspection on 4/10/2024, staff 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 did not have updated fire safety training on file. There was a fire safety/emergency plan training form on file that was dated 9/18/2024. With it being a date in the future, it was not acceptable. As per facility, it was dated incorrectly.

During an investigation from 8/1/2022-9/26/2022, it was found that staff 1 and 2 completed online only first aid/cpr training that was not The American Red Cross "Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR." Staff 1's first aid training was completed on 6/4/2021. Staff 2's first aid training was completed on 7/6/2021.
