In order to assure that staff and children are familiar with all of the EOP drills, programs shall: (1) Practice evacuation off-site and bomb threats once per year with all child care staff; (2) Practice at least 2 other components of their EOP with all child care staff and children each calendar year; and (3) Review all EOP response actions with all staff at least 4 times each calendar year.
The licensing coordinator's review program records revealed that staff did not document review of their Emergency Operation Plan four times in 2024. Corrective action: Although staff did not document review of the emergency four times within one year, we did complete a review of it three times. Going forward, we will be sure to have all staff review and sign off on the emergency operation plans for our center four times within a calendar year. We have put it into our calendar to specifically review the EOP on our staff training days in March and September. We will also have staff review the EOP in June and November each year.
