The licensing coordinator observed a staff member wash their hands after diapering/toileting in the sink in the kitchenette area designated for food preparation, washing dishes and toys. Corrective action: A sign was placed above the sink on 5/29/24 detailing “Attention: Sink Used for Dishes Only.”

The licensing coordinator observed two bottles of children's liquid prescription medication in the medication storage cabinet in the infant/toddler classroom that had not been disposed of or returned to the parents. Corrective action: Staff will check medications for expiration dates on a weekly basis.
The review of staff attendance records revealed that two staff members in attendance at the program had not signed in or out of their classrooms on the day of the licensing inspection. Further review revealed the float staff had not signed in and out of each classroom in which they were assisting. Corrective action: Center Director will oversee staff sign in and out sheets by reviewing the sheets when each staff member enters their classrooms and when each staff member leaves their shift for break and end of shift.
