Authorized staff shall complete training in medication safety and administration every year.

The licensing coordinator's review of four staff files revealed that three staff members had not completed annual training in medication administration. Corrective action: Unfortunately, we were not aware that this licensing regulation had changed from every 3 years to every year. Once we were made aware, the 3 staff members were asked to do the training. All 3 have successfully completed this. It should be noted that it still states "every 3 years" on the ProSolutions training. Going forward, all staff will train at once as part of our annual staff training at the start of each school year to ensure we are all compliant, and to better keep track of it.

The program shall have a record of daily staff attendance, including the staff’s full name, scheduled work hours, their position as identified under He-C 4002.34, and their arrival and departure times at the program and in each room or group throughout the day, as applicable, recorded in real time by the staff.

The licensing coordinator's review of staff attendance records in the "Blue Four's" class revealed staff did not sign in at the beginning of their shift. Corrective action: The teachers have been reminded that they need to be diligent and consistent about clocking in and out at the start and end of their shifts. To help manage this, since our digital platform is a little inconvenient, we have also implemented a manual sign in at the director's station.
