Programs shall comply with approved corrective action plans and corrective action plans issued in accordance with He-C 4002.06(i) and (j).

This Statement of Findings includes repeat citations and failure to comply with approved Corrective Action Plans for He-C 4002.09(b) and He-C 4002.20(m)(1), and He-C 4002.33(a), as noted herein. Corrective action: IMS is implementing a new admin person who works on compliance tasks to ensure that all programs and staff are within licensing compliance. They have gathered staff and student files to ensure that the programs are held to a higher standard.

All center directors, agency administrators, site coordinators, or site directors, and all other child care staff who are responsible for the supervision of children, or who are necessary for the staff to child ratios, shall keep on file documentation of completion of a minimum of 6 hours of professional development, which shall be completed in accordance with the following: (1)  Within 90 days of the first date of employment; (2) Within 2 weeks for programs operating 3 months of the year or less; or (3) By providing documentation of previous completion.

REPEAT CITATION PREVIOUSLY CITED ON APRIL 27, 2023. The licensing coordinator's review of five staff records revealed two staff members had not completed the required professional development in the topic areas listed under He-C 4002.33(a) within 90 days of the first date of employment at the program. This constitutes the first repeat citation and failure to comply with one approved corrective action plan regarding completion of health and safety trainings for new staff. Corrective action: One staff member has completed these trainings completely, and the other staff member is actively working on completing these trainings. Moving forward Our compliance admin will stay on top of staff to ensure these are completed within the required timeframe. Using an airtable interface we are able to see what staff have and if things are missing. If something is missing then our compliance admin flags this to Leadership and staff member missing something.
