The licensing coordinator's review of the program's policies revealed they did not have a written policy regarding the provision of meals of snacks when a child does not have them. Corrective action: Little Tree Education created a written policy included on both our weekly snack menu (posted in classrooms) and in our family handbook. The policy indicates what is provided for children in the case the family forgets to send their child with lunch. The policy reads “If a child forgets to bring lunch or remains hungry, Little Tree will provide food items from the approved snack menu.

The licensing coordinator's review of the staff roster revealed that the program did not update the staff roster in the NHCIS portal within 5 business days of the date when three staff were no longer working in the program. Corrective action: Due to the center’s scheduled closure for vacation during the week following the employee’s final working day, the separation could not be processed immediately. Moving forward upon receipt of the employee’s written notice of resignation, the School Director will promptly update the employee’s end date in NHCIS to ensure accurate and timely record keeping in accordance with licensing requirements.
