All center directors, agency administrators, site coordinators, or site directors, and all other child care staff who are responsible for the supervision of children, or who are necessary for the staff to child ratios, shall keep on file documentation of completion of a minimum of 6 hours of professional development, which shall be completed in accordance with the following: (1)  Within 90 days of the first date of employment; (2) Within 2 weeks for programs operating 3 months of the year or less; or (3) By providing documentation of previous completion.

REPEAT CITATION PREVIOUSLY CITED ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2023 and DECEMBER 20 2022. The licensing coordinator's review of staff records revealed that one staff had documentation of only six hours of professional development when 18 hours are required. Corrective action: I take this very seriously and although I thought that I had a plan before, it did not include action that was organized enough for the trainings to be done in a timely fashion. I now feel confident that not only do I have a plan, but I have taken the correct action steps to ensure that this won't happen in the future. Trainings and alert reminders for said training's have been added to both my new every day binder and my phone calendar for the entire year. Since Darlene's visit I have completed a total of 23 training hours. Included in this is First Aid & CPR, Medication Administering Course which needed to be renewed for next school year.

This Statement of Findings includes repeat citations and failure to comply with approved Corrective Action Plans for He-C 4002.33(f) as noted herein. The program failed to comply with two approved corrective action plans. Corrective action: I apologize for this. I was setting up a plan but not creating an action that would help me to follow through, I believe that I have corrected that and will now be able to move forward without fail. I have for seven years run a program that has zero parent complaints and many happy families. I pride myself on being able to provide a safe & enriching space for the children at TCS and provide fantastic support for the parents. I believe I could provide many, many recommendations that would speak to that. I apologize and will strive to make sure that new strategies keep this from becoming an issue any further.

Except for nature-based programs that operate solely outside, programs shall conduct fire drills in accordance with the following: (1) Programs that operate continuously throughout the year shall conduct at least one drill each month of operation; (2) Programs that operate only during the school year shall conduct a drill within 14 days of opening each year and monthly thereafter; (3) Programs that operate only during the summer months shall conduct one fire drill in each month of operation; (4) Child care personnel shall conduct fire drills at varying times during operating hours, including night time hours, if applicable, to ensure that each child attending the program experiences fire drills; (5) Child care staff shall activate the actual fire alarm system for the building for at least 2 of the required monthly fire drills required each year and use a fire alarm or smoke detector to signal all other fire drills; (6) All children and child care staff shall evacuate the building during each fire drill; and (7) Child care staff shall check daily attendance records to ensure that all children and staff are accounted for, after the building is evacuated.
