Cited finding

The provider was in the process of having her hall bathroom renovated. At arrival, the construction worker was not renovating the bathroom, but, during the inspection, the construction worker arrived & worked on the bathroom. There were hazards such as mechanical tools, etc. located in this bathroom. The provider stated the children were using her master bathroom located in her bedroom. The provider stated this was the first day, since the onset of the inclement weather, that the children have been in care. The provider was not willing to allow the Specialist to observe her master bathroom. The Specialist discussed with the provider about what her best course of action would be, since she does not have an approved bathroom. The provider stated she would have the parents pick up the children early. The children were napping during this inspection. The provider stated she would close her child care until the bathroom was completed. The completion is expected to be this weekend. The provider stated she will send a photograph of the bathroom once it is completed. If it is not completed this weekend, the provider will remain closed. The provider will email the Specialist with her plans.
