The Licensing Specialist observed a water play toy with a pump and large, pool-like basin designed to collect water. The large, pool-like basin was empty at the time of the inspection. The Licensing Specialist asked the substitute to make the water play toy inaccessible to the children as it is a drowning hazard. The substitute made the water play toy inaccessible to the children during the inspection. The substitute and Licensing Specialist discussed turning the water play toy into a sandbox. The substitute understands that the large, pool-like basin would need to be filled with sand and/or pea gravel if it is made accessible to the children again.
The provider did not complete the 2024 update to the basic health and safety training. The provider completed the 2024 update to the basic health and safety training on the same day of the inspection and forwarded a copy of her certificate to the OCC.
The Licensing Specialist noted that there was a mini trampoline in the outdoor activity area. The mini trampoline was removed from the outdoor activity area and made inaccessible to the children during the inspection.
The substitute did not serve the children milk during lunch time. Please forward a written statement to the OCC explaining that the provider and the provider's substitutes will serve milk with all meals going forward.
1 child who is a "drop in" did not have an emergency form. Please forward a photo of the completed emergency form to the OCC once obtained.
The provider does not have a written agreement with 2 children's parents. Please forward the signature page of the parent agreement to the OCC for both children.
3 children were not advised how to obtain or view the Guide to Regulated Child Care. Please notify the OCC once the parents of these children have been advised how to obtain or view the Guide to Regulated Child Care.
4 children's emergency forms need to be updated with their parents' initials and the date. Please forward photos of the updated emergency forms to the OCC.
1 child does not have any documentation other than an immunization record. 2 children do not have Part II of the Health Inventory. 1 child does not have evidence of having had a blood lead test at 1 year of age. 6 children do not have evidence of having had a blood lead test at 2 years of age. 6 children need updated immunization records. Please forward photos of the requested records to the OCC once obtained.
The Licensing Specialist observed that an outlet was not plugged or capped in the bathroom. The outlet was plugged during the inspection.
The provider stated that she was not aware of the update to the basic health and safety which was due March 31, 2024. Please complete the training as soon as possible and forward a photo of your certificate to the OCC.
The provider did not have her schedule of daily activities posted; however, the parents had the opportunity to view the schedule of daily activities as it is included in the provider's handbook. The schedule of daily activities was posted during the inspection.
