LS interviewed staff and confirmed that AC has vaped both inside and outside of the premises. AC was reminded that the regulations state that vaping is prohibited at all times inside the childcare facility.
LS interviewed staff and confirmed that AC has vaped both inside and outside of the premises. AC was reminded that the regulations state that vaping is prohibited on the premises during operating hours at the childcare facility.
This monitoring inspection recorded no violations or advisories.
LS discussed the responsibilities of management to ensure all staff are aware they must report any suspicion of abuse or neglect to the appropriate agency. Management can never discourage those reports and must ensure they have been reported.
Room 4 had a mixed age group of 3 Toddlers and 10 Two year olds at the time of the inspection with Ms Julie and Ms Liah.

Facility reported that a staff member had been terminated due to mishandling a child. LS interviewed several staff members that stated the child had a bruise or purple mark under his arm and the teacher "grabbed" the child by the arm. Facility stated that no one had made a report to CPS or our office.

Facility is using aides to cover classrooms regularly. Facility stated that teachers are assigned to classrooms but are used in other rooms for specific situations (ie filed trips, or closing classrooms). They use an aide to "sub" in the room for different parts throughout the day for coverage. These staff are "floaters".

The child had an accident in the pool which required life saving measures by the lifeguard at the pool.
