LS conducted a complaint inspection in which Complainant reported that the provider does not allow them into her home to drop off or pick up her child. They have been told they cannot come into the home, and the provider meets them at the door when dropping off and picking up. They have asked to come in and observe, and the provider tells them they are not allowed in the home. At the time of the complaint inspection LS discussed with the provider that they are required by regulation to grant access to the parent and/or caregiver of the child and can not deny them acess to the child care space when their child is in care. Provider stated that at drop off time she does not allow parents in because it is too confusing for the children and it's just too much going on. The provider stated other providers do not let parents in and the LS informed her that it would be a noncompliance for other providers as well. LS informed the provider that the regulations require her to let parents in and they are too have access to the child care space when their child is in care.
