OCC received a complaint stating Yesterday morning March 2nd a 3yo child had a documented accident around 830am potty training. She picked child up at 6pm room smelled horrible soiled underwear, pants, and poop left in child's bag with his lunch box sitting on top the bag. LS observed video footage of the fecal mater stored in a plastic bag with the child's soiled clothing that was left sitting in the child's cubby for around 9hours. The cubbies are accessible to children in the classroom. At the time of the complaint inspection, LS was informed by the director/assistant director that a conversation had not been had with the staff yet. LS talked to one of the staff members involved in the incident and found out an Aide offered to change the child. The teacher stated that she normally either flushes any body fluids or throws the soiled clothes away based on the parents wants. The teacher stated that she had no idea the feces had been placed in the bag and put in the cubby. The teacher stated she would have flushed it. The LS asked the teacher is that the policy and the staff stated it's not on the policy but it, like common sense.
