A review of the program's submitted Staff Records Checklist indicated that none of the staff had completed EEC Essentials 2.0. The Department required all educators formerly trained in Essentials (1.0) complete the new, updated "2.0" training prior to 7/1/25. All new hires must complete this training prior to working in a classroom. The training consists of Emergency Response, Food Safety, Hazardous materials, Intro: First Aid/CPR, Intro: Child Growth & Development, Medication Administration, Missing Child Prevention, Physical Premises Safety, Preventing Shaken Baby Syndrome, Prevention & Control of Infectious Diseases, Protecting Children from Abuse & Neglect, Safe Sleep Practices, Transporting Children Safely.
