Educator has not been completing progress reports as required by EEC. No reports were available for review at the time of the visit, and all of the children are due. Written progress reports must be completed every three months for infants and children with special needs, every six months for toddlers and preschoolers, and once a year for school aged children (5 years and older). Parents must receive a copy, and a copy must be retained on file at the program.
In the playroom being added to the license, there is a flat screen television attached to the wall. A long cord for this tv is accessible to children. Discussed stapling the cord to the wall so children do not have access.

Space (health risks)
Educator has only been recording attendance for a voucher child. Attendance must be taken for all children with the daily arrival and departure times filled in.
The educator did not have a certificate stating she has completed the required 12 Essentials 2.0 trainings through the Strong Start website. Once all of the trainings are completed the educator will be able to view and upload a certificate. This certificate must then be emailed to the licensor or uploaded into the educator's LEAD document library.
This monitoring visit inspection recorded no violations or advisories.
We discussed to adjust the hot water temperature to be no more than 120 degrees Fahrenheit; currently about 140 degrees Fahrenheit.

We discussed to repair two sections on the wooden fence that are loose and barricade fire pit.

We discussed to acquire more toys and books for indoors and outdoor space to provide a variety of materials for the child care children.
We discussed that the space in between the railings cannot be wider than 3 1/2 inches for the front entrance and back exit stairs.
The educator has a playground structure with a slide and swings that needs proper ground cover such as playground mulch that is 9 inches deep and 6 feet all around or rubber mats that meet fall zone standard per Consumer Product Safety Commission. A copy of the Outdoor Playground Safety Handbook will be sent by email for the educator to review.
