The educator is licensed for 8 children, two of which have to be school age. During the visit there were eight children present but all of the children were under five years of age, including four children under the age of 2 years. As a result, the educator called a parent to pick up two children from care.
CPR/First Aid - R Apr 2025
During the visit, the educator's CPR and FA certification had expired on 5/24/22. During the visit, the educator scheduled a renewal for her certification for that same night.
This renewal - enhanced monitoring visit inspection recorded no violations or advisories.
The educator is using the CDC checklist as progress reports but is not adding comments and is not completing them on the appropriate schedule. Please complete updated progress reports for all of the children.
When the licensor arrived, the educator was on the first floor and had the children in the basement area napping and an infant napping on the first floor. Discussed relevant regulation regarding supervision and always being on the same floor level as the children.
The hot water temperature was reading at 128 degrees F. Please lower this to measure at 120 degrees F or less. Licensor suggested getting an anti-scald device since water heater is at lowest setting.
There is a slide in the basement area that is too high to have without appropriate fall zones. Please remove the slide or make it inaccessible to the children.
