Staff wash hands after cleaning tasks, handling trash
During the visit an educator was observed cleaning tables and then not washing their hands after.
Indoor Space
The following were observed during classroom observations as safety issues: The bookshelf in jumping joeys and fish was not secure. There was a hot beverage in a room. The following were identified as not being clean/good repair: Mats in the infant room had missing pieces and those pieces could be a choking hazard to children, rugs in some of the rooms were dirty and frayed. There were bean bags in a room that were not in good repair. There was also paint peeling/chipping in several of the rooms.
Outdoor Space
During the visit the licensor observed two spring rockers that were not appropraite for use with toddlers and a spring rocker seesaw that was also not appropriate for use with toddlers. The play structure that the preschool program uses is showing significant signs of wear which could pose a risk to children due to the uneven surface, sharp pieces and exposed rust. The poured surface on the toddler playground was repaired but the repairs are uneven causing tripping hazards for toddlers.
At the time of the visit there were rocking chairs that had entrapment concerns.

At the time of the visit there was missing BRC information, dates of SORI and Fingerprints were missing, BRC forms were incomplete and there was confidential BRC information in two staff files.
The school age program did not have enough materials for the children.
There was a gate in the hallway that was broken and had sharp edges that could pose a risk to children. In the preschool classroom there were plastic bags on the floor accessible to the children. There was a book shelf in the toddler that needs to be secure.
At the time of the there was peeling paint in all classrooms.
At the time of the visit there was expired Benadryl and there was Auvi-Q with no prescription label.
At the time of the visit an educator did not wash her hands after she cleaned a table.
At the time of the visit there were cleaning materials accessible to toddlers on the changing table.
