Care of young children - Feeding Infants and Toddlers
During the visit, the licensor observed the children playing on small trampoline in the living room. Trampoline structures are prohibited under EEC regulations.
During the visit, one playpen, which the educator stated is used for napping a (REDACTED), was observed to have an extra mattress placed on top of the manufactured mattress. The manufactured mattress was not secured to the bottom as required.
Licensor observed a (REDACTED) being provided a bottle to feed themselves while lying in the playpen. According to EEC regulations Infants must be held while fed a bottle.

This follow-up visit inspection recorded no violations or advisories.

Evacuations were not documented for the month of November and December.
Several children were missing their lead testing, their permission sections were not completed and one child’s enrollment packet did not have admission date and several sections of the enrollment packet was not completed.
Provider did not have two of the children’s progress reports completed.
Provider had seven children present on this day. Provider is licensed for six children.
Water temperature was tested in the bathroom and was at 123 degrees which is higher that the required 120 degrees.
In the bathroom there was a plastic bag accessible to the children. In the kitchen there was a knife on the kitchen counter accessible to the children. In the kitchen there were loose wires and sharp objects accessible in an open space on top of the drawer.
There were seven children present with one educator. There was one child under the age of 2. Provider was informed during the visit one child had to be picked up in which they were.
The infant was in the pack and play in the living room for approximately 5-8 minutes while the provider was in the kitchen with the other children.
Educator’s emergency preparedness plan did not indicate her plan in case of a child going missing.

It was observed that the safety lock in one of the kitchen drawers was not latching, this drawer had three sharp knives. The knives were removed during the visit. Outdoor space was snow covered; will be observed in a future visit.
