Medication
A review of staff records checklist revealed that Educators have not completed the Required EEC Essentials 2.0.
Licensor was not able to find the Fire or Building inspection certificates on the day of the visit as they were not posted. EEC Licensor was later informed by the Directro that the Building Inspection is expired.
On the day of the visit the program had a medication listed as a Schedule II controlled substance that was not secured locked as required.

There was a pacifier in the infant/toddler room that was not labeled with the name of the child it's intended for.
Evacuation procedure was not posted near an exit.

On the day of the visit the program did not have a posted Building Inspection certificate.
One Educator’s field did not include evidence of a suitable BRC.
The Director was not able to find the current fire and Building Inspection certificate on day of the visit.
One file was missing orientation evidence, essential trainings or evidence of MMR vaccine. The same file contained a Work Verification Form that was singed by The Licensee/Director for experience gained in a different location. Another file did not inlcude evidence of completion of orientation, no ID and no evidence of MMR vaccines.

A random review of children's records and review of the children's records checklist revealed that some file were missing, Face sheets, first aid and medical consent forms, Transportation plans,
The attendance recorded in the School-Age room did not include one child that was in attendance. The attendance record was corrected during the visit.
The evacuation procedures were not posted on both sides of adjoining doors between classrooms.

On the day of the visit the Educators did not have drinking water available for children.
On the day of the visit Preschool Room 1 did not have a sufficient amount or variety of materials and equipment available for children.
On the day of the visit Preschool Room 2 had a tortoise as a pet. Licensor did research and found that not all tortoises carry salmonella but they are all likely to carry it. This could pose a health risk to children.
On the day of the visit it was learned that the Infant staff are using a microwave to heat up water, in a cup, to warm infant bottles.
During a review of medications Licensor found that a child with peanut allergy had an Epi-pen that expired in 2021. Upon further review it was learned that the child’s previous teacher had the current medication in the child’s previous classroom.
During observation of the infant/toddler room it was noticed that the diapering sink is in an adjoining room. Staff reported that there are usually three Educators in the room since hand washing requires an Educators to leave the infant/toddler room after diapering. On the day of the visit there were only two staff in the room. EEC Licensor observed in this room after diapers had been change and did not observe the issue with supervision.
The program has not submitted the current Building Inspection Certificate, Fire Inspection or IPM Plan to the Documents Library.
