1. A fire pit area has a large dip in the ground and a wheelbarrow full of large rocks. This area is accessible to the children in the backyard as the educator's outdoor play space is not fenced in. 2. One of the outdoor wooden steps leading from the back exit is worn down and pieces of wood have splintered off.

Educator records attendance on a weekly sheet. Attendance for this week in April had not yet been started. Attendance must be accurate at all times with the arrival and departure times of the children as they occur.
CDC Developmental Checklists reviewed in children's files were last completed in 2022. Written progress reports must be completed every three months for infants and children with special needs, every six months for toddlers and preschoolers, and once a year for school aged children (5 years and older).

Reviewed six children's files. Three children require annual update forms signed by the parents. Physical/immunization documentation was up to date.
Fireplace hearth is padded. Observed a shed with a padlock that was not locked at the time of the visit.

Outdoor Playspace - Hazards/Porches and Decks
Fire pit was covered. Shed was observed to be locked. Trampoline used by the educator's children has high netting with a lock on it. Wood pieces in the yard were observed with a tarp over them.A Little Tykes play structure over 18 inches tall and a small trampoline used by the educator's family is located next to the driveway were the daycare children play. This equipment must be made inaccessible to daycare children or it must follow the playground safety regulations. Trampolines are prohibited for use by day care children. Play structures require fall zone material installed- 9 inches in depth and 6 feet around the fall zone.
