This licensor felt that the basement use for childcare was extremely humid and warm. There were no means of ventilation in place by the educator, to maintain the room at a comfortable temperature for the children present.

The refrigerator temperature tested 28*F degrees below the minimum of 32*F degrees allowed per regulation.
The educator has uncover outlets on an outlet cover plate accessible to children in the living room.
The following hazards were found during this visit: 1. there were a knife and a food scissor accessible to children in the kitchen. 2. There was a power drill, the educator's handbag, alcohol bottles, Castor oil-hair growth oil accessible to children in the dining room area. 3. There was an exercise machine, charging cables and plug-in air fresheners accessible to children in the living room. 4. There were Ibuprofen pills medication and nail polish accessible to children on a cabinet on the first floor dining room area. 5. There was cat food, water and cat litter accessible to children in the living room. 6. There was a bucket with standing water and 2 mop buckets with water in the first floor licensed space and in the basement accessible to children.

During the visit, Licensor observed the educator did not have an allergy list posted to include a child diagnosed with a medical condition.

Exit Safety
During the visit, Licensor reviewed 6 progress reports of the children currently we enrolled. The following was observed: 1) a child was missing a progress report.
During the visit, Licensor observed the route of the exit located through the the first floor level leading to the living room, and then leading to the front of the home/ enclosed porch was obstructed by a tall floor lamp and a portable heater. Additionally, Licensor observed both the lamp and portable heater were connected to an extension cord. Note: During the visit, Licensor observed the following exits: - two separate exits from the basement, including an exit leading to the first floor of the home. - two separate exits from the first floor (front through the living room and back through the kitchen).
Upon arrival to the program, the licensor was able to enter the home unnoticed. The licensor observed that there were 4 children alone in the basement. The licensor went to the first floor to lock for the educator and the educator was on the first floor talking on the phone.
The program front door was open and accessible to strangers coming from the street.
The educator needs to replace 2 high chairs that have no straps or straps that are not appropriately working.

The educator did not have an accurate attendance at the time of this visit. There were 3 children missing arrival time documentation.
Although the educator is conducting evacuation practices from the basement. She is not conducting evacuation practices from the first floor licensed space or documenting monthly testing alarms on the first floor.
Although the educator has 2 playpens, 1 crib and 3 mats, the sleeping materials were touching each other stored inside the playpens and cribs not providing separated sanitary means of storage as required.
No gate posted at the bottom of the stairway at the time of this visit.
