There was a snow on the stairs from the basement exit, with only small path in the middle of the stairs. The exit way and stairs must be completely cleared.
There is a toy shelf and a toy kitchen in the play space that are tipping hazards. There is a broken outlet plate that needs to be replaced, as well as an outlet that needs to be covered. There is also a cord longer than 6 inches hanging down in the play space. There is a storage shelf in the bathroom that is a tipping hazard. There is a wooden “boxed” area in the play space that has sharp edges that need to have a child-safe barrier installed on the edges. The trash containers in the play space and in the bathroom are not covered and are accessible to children.
The first aid kit is missing the CPR mouthguard.
The educator does not yet have diaper changing surfaces on the premises. Discussed there needs to be one surface that can be disinfected (i.e. vinyl) and another surface that is disposable, is individual to each child, or can also be disinfected.

There is a gate for the bottom of the stairs in the basement childcare space. Reviewed that anytime children under 3 years old are present, the stairs must be barricaded. The stairway leading to the outside from the basement did not have railings, as required by EEC regulations.
There was one outlet that was not covered in the basement space.
The hot water temperature in the basement sink exceeded 120 degrees. Please send proof of the temperature being 120 degrees or less.
The outdoor space is not approved at this time. There needs to be an enclosed area to prevent access to the busy street and the stairwell leading to the basement entrance.
