During the visit, the following observations were made: 1. An educator placed a dirty dustpan on the table. 2. An educator sprayed the table with soap and water while a child was still eating at the table. 3. There was Lysol spray, cleaning wipes, and disinfectant spray in a closet in the bathroom, which was not secured to prevent children from accessing these items.

Through a review of emergency medications, it was noted that one child had an expired epi-pen.
Through a review of staff records, there wasn't evidence of the following: 1. staff observations 2. evidence of references 3. completion of Strong Start Essentials 4. evidence of physical examinations
Trampoline
During the visit, educators' coffee cups and drinks were on a counter accessible to children. A toilet bowl plunger was not secured and accessible to children in the bathroom.
There was a trampoline set up in the classroom.
Through a review of emergency medication consents, it was noted that one child who was prescribed an emergency medication didn't have a current consent on file.

During the visit, there wasn't evidence of evacuation drills held monthly.
During the visit, an educator was observed using a bottle of water and then disinfectant to clean the tables after snack. However, the educator needed to follow the standard two-step cleaning process, which involves using soap and water first, followed by disinfectant, as required by EEC. Educators should have ensured that children followed hand-washing procedures after eating snacks. An educator did not guide a child to wash their hands after sneezing.
An educator was observed using her cellphone and not engaging with the children in her care.

In the Red Bear room the following was noted: 1. Children washed their hands before snack however the children returned to the rug instead of the table. 2. The table was not washed/sanitized before the snack was provided to the children. 3. The educator washed the tables after snack but did not sanitize the table as required.
