The licensor observed the temperature in the hallway to the bathroom to be 57degrees and the temperature in the classroom where the children were to be 63 degrees. The licensor requested the Educator turn the heat up to at least 65 and when the licensor left it was above 65 degrees. The educator was cited for this in 1/2023

The Educator has completed a total of 5 hours training, two in 2023 and three in 2024. Educators in family child care working more than 10 hours per week must complete at least 10 hours of professional development per year.

Records were reviewed for the 8 enrolled children. Three children needed proof of current physicals and immunizations. Another child needed proof of a lead screening.
The Educator is not completing evacuation drills as required by EEC regulations. Discussed that evacuation drills must be practiced monthly and documented on the Evacuation Log form.
The inspection of the First Aid kit indicated that all necessary items were included. However, it was observed that the emergency card for one child was missing, and the emergency cards for three children were not up to date.
The water was 128 degrees. The water temperature must not exceed 120 degrees.

A review of the attendance shows that the educator is alone until approximately 9:10-9:30 until the assistants arrives with more than 6 children

The license space had a temperature of 61 degrees during today’s visit. There was 1 wall heating unit observed in the space.
The temperature in the fridge was 25 degrees. The temperature should be between 32-40 degrees
There was 1 electrical outlet that was uncovered today
The backyard contained hazards: there were 3 large rocks leaning against the fence and broken plastic chairs in the backyard space accessible to children
There was an outlet in the playroom that did not have a cover and was accessible to the children. There was a trash can in the bathroom without a cover and accessible to children.
