Staff-child ratio New Hope Christian Preschool in Waipahu is licensed for 123 children, ages over 2 years to under 6 years old. On October 20, 2025, the worker observed the following:<br/> <br/> 2-year-old class: 6 children present and 12 enrolled with 2 aides.<br/> 3-year-old class: 12 children present and 16 enrolled with 1 director/teacher and 1 aide.<br/> 4-year-old class: 18 children present and 24 enrolled with 1 director/teacher and 1 aide.<br/> Junior Kindergarten class: 20 children present and 24 enrolled with 1 director/teacher, 1 aide, and 1 volunteer.<br/> <br/> At the time of the visit, the two-year-old classroom did not have a lead teacher. However, there is a pending teacher waiver for one of the aides.<br/>
