Child care area clean and comfortable At the time of visit at approximately 11:30am, this worker had entered the room an noticed the classroom was warmer than usual. The sun was out, but it was also drizzling outside at the same time that day. Worker had asked the teacher how long has the air conditioning been out of service. Per teacher, it has been one week and that they are currently waiting for one part to get the air conditioning fixed. There were 3 wall fans in use, and the AC near the main entrance door was on, but blowing warm air. The teacher shared that she will be turning on the two ceiling fans during nap time, and the children has access to drinking water which is in a large jug in the classroom.<br/> <br/> Childcare licensing worker called program manager to follow up on the air conditioning in the class room. Program Manager shared that it was supposed to be fixed yesterday as they were waiting for the parts to come in. Childcare worker discussed option to add additional fans in the mean time if air conditioning will not be fixed by the end of the week. Program Manager will put in a work order if the AC will not be able to fixed by October 4, 2024.<br/> <br/> Follow up call made to program manager on October 4, 2024. Program manager shared that she had notified the assistant director regarding this matter. Air conditioner was not repaired yet, but per program manager, plans were to have the children in Keiki Country I use Keiki Country's II classroom for the week of October 7, 2024 - October 11, 2024 since the children in this classroom will be on Fall break. During this time, the installation of additional fans could be installed in Keiki Country I.<br/>
