During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored the training transcript for the child care personnel and observed that one of the personnel has not begun/completed the introductory training. According to the CCF Handbook, Section 4.1 4.1 Beginning Training Child care personnel including volunteers who work 10 hours or more per month must begin training within 90 days of employment in the child care industry and successfully complete Departments training within 12 months from the date training begins. Training taken prior to employment in the child care industry does not constitute begin training. The begin training timeframes begin at the time of employment in the child care industry. Training completion may not exceed 15 months from the date of employment in the child care industry in any licensed Florida child care facility. This may be accomplished by classroom attendance in a Department-approved training course, acquiring an educational exemption from a Department-approved training course, beginning a Department-approved online child care training course, or by receiving results from a Department-approved competency examination. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist monitored the background screening for the childcare personnel and observed that one of the personnel has left employment and childcare industry for more than 90. Upon rehiring the fingerprints were not submitted. During the time of the inspection, the Director went into the clearinghouse and resubmitted the fingerprints. According the CCF Handbook, Section 5.2 Re-Screening C. Child care personnel must be re-screened following a break in employment in the child care industry that exceeds 90 days. Child care personnel/individual with a break in service that exceeds 90 days are considered unscreened child care personnel/individuals until completion of re-screening. During the time of the inspection, the infants were taking a nap. During the time of the inspection, the Licensing Specialist observed that children were place in the crib with blankets and pacifier straps. The Licensing Specialist immediately advised the teacher to remove all items; The teacher removed the blankets and pacifier straps out of the crib. DH Form 680 and DH Form 681 may be obtained from the local county health department. Specific immunization requirements are included and detailed in the most current edition of the Immunization Guidelines-Florida Schools, Child Care Facilities and Family Day Care Homes as promulgated by the Florida Department of Health.
