Technical assistance was provided that staff practice placing children on cots for nap time away from furniture or under furniture, to avoid the creation of a hazard
During the complaint inspection, observed video footage provided by the quality assurance director of the teacher in the Caterpillars class lifting a child by the arm inappropriately from napping on the cot. The cot was placed between the classroom child-sized table and the childrens bookshelf, likely leading to the teacher being unable to assist the child properly up from nap. This resulted in a hazard. The childs injury also resulted in nurses elbow. Please see complaint report at end of document for more details and information regarding the allegation, which is substantiated
