The Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint on March 16, 2023, regarding the licensee not following capacity requirements for her family child care home. An investigation began on March 23, 2023, and ended on March 30, 2023. The complaint is substantiated because the licensee exceeded the permitted capacity of six children preschool-age or younger at the facility visit, and she also had more than four children under the age of 24 months. Ten children preschool-age or younger were present, five of which were under the age of 24 months. Additional concerns noted were that the licensee was not truthful when providing information to OCCL, and no attendance records were available for review.
