On March 7, 2024, the Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) received a complaint regarding not following the suspension/expulsion policy, accident/injury procedures, and positive behavior supports. An investigation was conducted on March 13, 2024. This complaint is substantiated for not following the suspension/expulsion policy because the provider wrote a letter informing Parent #1 that Child #1 could not return if he had another behavioral episode and this does not comply with the provider s suspension/expulsion policy. There is no evidence to substantiate the allegation of not following accident/injury procedures and positive behavior supports because the provider stated Child #1 was not injured at the family child care home and denied yelling at the children or hitting them with a fly swatter. However, a fly swatter was in the child care room and there were no flies present.
