Safety precautions shall include but not be limited to:(4) Poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines...and other items which could pose a danger if readily available to children shall be stored where they are inaccessible to children.
Licensee will provide a signed written statement that she will keep the off-limit areas inaccessible to children in care during daycare hours. Licensee stated she would install door-knob covers on the off-limit areas and provide LPA with picture of the door-knob covers and immediate area. 102416.5(b)(3) · 102416.5 Staffing Ratio and Capacity - (b) For a Small Family Child Care Home, the maximum number of children for whom care may be provided at any one time, including children under age 10 who reside at the licensee's home, shall be one of the following: (3)More than six and up to eight children, without an additional adult attendant, only if the criteria in Section 1597.44 of the Health and Safety Code are met.

LPA Lane reminded Licensee to make sure off-limit areas remain off-limits at all times when children are in care. Based upon LPA observation, off-limit areas were accessible to children in care that contained toiletry and makeup items which is a potential health and safety risk for children in care.
